Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to Rp 15,027 per US Dollar (Friday, September 23, 2022)

The Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market this morning until 10:45 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) was traded at Rp 15,027 thousand per US dollar on Friday, September 23, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.07% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,018 thousand per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 15010 - 15032.5 per US dollar.

As shown on investing.com, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.89% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 1.33%.

However, for a one-year period, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually strengthened. In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,030 per US dollar.

For the period January-September 2022, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market experienced a weakening trend, moving 1.3% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at the level of Rp 14,835 per US dollar.

The current Rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean Won weakened by 4.71 points (+0.34%) to KRW 1,409.31 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese Yen strengthened by 0.22 points (-0.15%), the Singapore Dollar weakened (+0.12%), the Euro weakened (+0.11%), and the Chinese Yuan weakened by 0.03 points (+0.36%).
