Today's Food Price Update in East Java: Beef, Salt, and Oil Prices Rise (Sunday, March 24, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (24/3/2024) at 09.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, mackerel, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level increased the highest by Rp1,220 (18.02%) to Rp7,990 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the lowest by Rp5,740 (15.6%) to Rp31,050 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp31,050 per kg (down 15.6%)
7. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,130 per kg (down 2.43%)
8. Mackerel: Rp29,680 per kg (down 11.85%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,460 per kg (down 0.14%)
10. Red Onion: Rp26,740 per kg (down 5.85%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,860 per kg (up 0.96%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,300 per liter (up 0.8%)
