Declaration of the Highest Indonesian Tax Amnesty Assets

Indonesia's tax amnesty declaration was the highest compared to other countries that have implemented tax amnesty programs. Tax amnesty statistics from the Directorate General of Taxes show that Indonesian taxpayers' asset declarations reached 39.5 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This figure is far above the achievements of other countries' tax amnesty programs, such as Chile, Italy, and Spain.

Total declarations of Indonesian taxpayers' assets, which ran from July 2016 to March 2017, reached Rp 4.88 quadrillion. This amount consists of domestic taxpayer asset declarations worth Rp 3.7 quadrillion, declarations of assets held abroad totaling Rp 1.04 quadrillion, and repatriated funds amounting to Rp 146.69 trillion.

In the first period (July-September 2016), the value of taxpayer asset declarations reached Rp 3.67 quadrillion. Then, in the second period (October-December 2016), it amounted to Rp 628.58 trillion, and in the third period (January-March 2017), the value of tax amnesty asset declarations was Rp 584.74 trillion.
