Current Food Prices in Jakarta, DKI: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (4/11/2024) at 09.15 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, curly red chilies, chicken eggs, shallots, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, shallot bulbs, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp12,080 (31.86%) to Rp50,000 per kg. Chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp9,300 (26.35%) to Rp26,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 18 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on November 4, 2024, at 09.15 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 3.01%)
2. Red Chilies: Rp55,000 per kg (up 10.44%)
3. Shallots: Rp50,000 per kg (up 31.86%)
4. Shallot Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.29%)
5. Curly Red Chilies: Rp35,000 per kg (up 14.23%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (down 7.48%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 20.2%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 18.41%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 5.3%)
10. Chicken Meat: Rp26,000 per kg (down 26.35%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 3.32%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 5.32%)
