Indonesia's Oxygen Production Still Suboptimal, Reaching Only 74% of Maximum Capacity

Indonesia produces 639,900 tons of oxygen annually from several companies. However, this amount only equates to 74% of the maximum production capacity of 866,000 tons per year.

Specifically, Samator Group currently produces 318,700 tons of oxygen annually, comprising 143,400 tons for industrial use and 175,300 tons for medical use. This figure reaches only 75% of its maximum capacity of 425,000 tons.

Linde Indonesia also produces only 75% of its total capacity, namely 93,700 tons out of a maximum of 125,000 tons. Air Liquid Indonesia and Air Product Indonesia have production figures of 91,200 tons and 85,500 tons, respectively, from a maximum capacity of 114,000 tons.

Other companies have production capacities below 100,000 tons per year. For example, Gresik Gases Indonesia produces 23,000 tons and Iwatani Industrial Gas Indonesia produces 10,000 tons. These figures represent their maximum (100%) capacity.

Meanwhile, oxygen production at DSS and other companies remains low compared to their maximum capacity. DSS production is only 30% of its total capacity of 34,000 tons. Production at other companies is 36% of their total capacity of 21,000 tons.
