The average daily price of branded packaged cooking oil in West Papua Province's modern markets has decreased by 0.78% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the price of packaged branded cooking oil (type 2) in modern markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp19,200 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and has remained consistent over the past week.

Compared to the price over the past month, the price of packaged branded cooking oil (type 2) in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp19,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of packaged branded cooking oil (type 2) in modern markets in West Papua over the past three months has increased by 0.79% from the previous trading price of Rp19,050 per kg.

The highest recorded price increase for packaged branded cooking oil (type 2) in modern markets in this province was in December 2021, with an increase of 15.83%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in October 2019, with a decrease of -15.59%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in West Papua today show 11 commodities decreased and 16 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Red Chili, Low-Quality Rice I, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Red Chili Peppers, Low-Quality Rice II, Chicken Meat, Green Chili Peppers, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Chili Peppers, and Local Sugar.
