List of 10 Countries with the Most Billionaires in the World January 2026

Forbes released a list of 3,203 of the world's richest people spread across 80 countries in January 2026.

The United States became the country with the most billionaires in the world as of Sunday (January 25, 2026). The number of billionaires in the country was 949 people.

Overall, the richest people in the United States have a total wealth of US$8.306 trillion (IDR 129,757 trillion), assuming an exchange rate of IDR 16,817/US$ on January 25, 2026.

Next, China followed in second place with 526 billionaires. The total wealth of billionaires in China amounted to US$2.145 billion (IDR 33,509 trillion). The wealth of each Chinese billionaire ranged from US$1.0 - 72.02 billion, equivalent to IDR 15.66 - 1,125 trillion.

Then, below China is India, which has 207 billionaires with a total wealth of US$946.84 billion (IDR 14,791 trillion).

Indonesia is not among the top 10 countries with the most billionaires. However, Indonesia is ranked 19th with 33 billionaires who have a collective wealth of US$216.22 billion (IDR 3,377 trillion).
