Banten Region Food Prices Wednesday (25/12): Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (25/12/2024) at 12:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, red chilies, red cayenne peppers, pure beef, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp3,180 (5.73%) to Rp58,650 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp2,330 (22.64%) to Rp7,960 per kg.
