Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion and Chili Prices Rise (Monday, February 12, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (12/2/2024) at 12:16 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, skipjack tuna, shallots, red chilies, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,200 (3.67%) to Rp62,160 per kg. Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the lowest price decrease, down by Rp220 (1.9%) to Rp11,340 per kg.
