Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (23/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, medium rice, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp1,370 (4.25%) to Rp33,640 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies fell the most at Rp2,650 (4.77%) to Rp52,850 per kg.
