East Java Food Prices Thursday (5/9): Salt and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (5/9/2024) at 11:13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), pure beef, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, chicken eggs, SPHP rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp150 (2.68%) to Rp5,740 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp1,200 (4.85%) to Rp23,530 per kg.
