Latest Food Prices in East Java: Red Chili and Oil Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (September 7, 2025) at 08.41 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 increased and 15 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include medium rice, SPHP rice, red onions, corn at the farmer level, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, consumption salt, Minyakita, large red chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level surged the most by Rp446 (7.37%) to Rp6,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish dropped the most by Rp3,325 (10.19%) to Rp29,308 per kg.

5. Garlic Bulb: Rp29,500 per kg (decreased 1.51%)
6. Milkfish: Rp29,308 per kg (decreased 10.19%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,077 per kg (decreased 7.96%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp28,889 per kg (decreased 8.51%)
9. Large Red Chili: Rp27,556 per kg (decreased 3.16%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,107 per kg (increased 0.25%)
11. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp24,900 per kg (decreased 4.65%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,269 per liter (decreased 2.22%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,000 per liter (decreased 4.68%)
14. Consumption Sugar: Rp16,615 per kg (increased 0.3%)
15. Minyakita: Rp16,500 per liter (decreased 1.09%)
16. Premium Rice: Rp15,585 per kg (increased 2.85%)
17. Medium Rice: Rp12,985 per kg (increased 0.51%)
18. SPHP Rice: Rp12,175 per kg (increased 0.3%)

20. Dried Soybean Seeds (Imported): Rp9,433 per kg (decreased 3.74%)
