Food Prices in Banten, Saturday (August 10th): What's the Price of Chicken?

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (10/8/2024) at 14:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, kembung fish, red chilies, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, SPHP rice, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp4,190 (5.82%) to Rp76,140 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,220 (4.54%) to Rp25,650 per kg.
