Rupiah Exchange Rate Strengthens to Rp 14,797 per US Dollar (Thursday, August 11, 2022)

As of 10:43 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market was traded at Rp 14,797 per US dollar on Thursday, August 11, 2022. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.5% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 14,872 per US dollar. Today's trading of the rupiah exchange rate is expected to move in the range of 14,682 - 14,767.5.

As shown on investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has risen by 0.75% in a week. Compared to 30 days earlier, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has strengthened by 1.32%.

However, for a one-year data range, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually decreased (strengthened). In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,030 per US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 6.07 points (-0.46%) to KRW 1,301.49 per US dollar, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.29 points (+0.22%), the Singapore dollar strengthened by 0.0001 points (-0.01%), the euro weakened (+0.03%), and the Chinese yuan strengthened by 0.0092 points (-0.14%).
