The daily price of medium-quality rice in Papua Province's modern markets has decreased by 0.57% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality I rice in modern markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp17,350 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly unchanged over the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in modern markets has decreased from Rp17,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in modern markets in Papua over the last three months has increased by 0.29% from the previous price of Rp17,300 per kg.

The highest recorded price increase for daily medium-quality I rice in modern markets in this province was in December 2017, with a 5.13% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023, at -3.64%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 14 increased. The commodities with price decreases are: Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Rice, Inferior Quality I Rice, Inferior Quality II Rice, Medium Quality I Rice, and Medium Quality II Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today, compared to price changes over the last month in Papua Province:
