Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region on Monday (January 6th): Oil and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (6/1/2025) at 11:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, tongkol fish, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, garlic bulbs, premium rice, red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp5,250 (13.91%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots saw the steepest price drop of Rp8,270 (20.54%) to Rp32,000 per kg.
