Current Food Prices in West Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (13/9/2024) at 14.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), shallots, dry soybean (import), garlic cloves, and red chilies have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp290 (5.31%) to Rp5,750 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp820 (2.55%) to Rp31,350 per kg.
