Daily Sugar Price at Modern Markets, March 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:23 PM WIB, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in West Java Province showed no change compared to the previous day, consistent with the trend over the past week.

However, compared to the price a month ago, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp17,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in West Java over the past three months has increased by 0.57% from the previous trading price of Rp17,400 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was in March 2018, with an increase of 126.21%, while the lowest decrease was also recorded in March 2018, at -55.79%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in West Java show nine commodities decreased and 18 increased. The commodities with price decreases are Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Grade 2 Beef, Chicken Eggs, Red Onion, Medium-Sized Red Onion, and Garlic.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in West Java Province:

3. Red Chili per kg: Rp113,750 (up 52.07%)
4. Chili per kg: Rp107,350 (up 41.9%)
5. Grade I Rice per kg: Rp13,250 (up 0.38%)
6. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp95,500 (up 45.58%)
7. Branded Cooking Oil (Type 2) per kg: Rp21,450 (up 1.66%)
8. Branded Cooking Oil (Type 1) per kg: Rp22,750 (up 4.12%)
9. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp22,100 (up 8.87%)
10. Chicken Meat per kg: Rp42,550 (down 1.5%)
11. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp89,400 (up 23.65%)
12. Super II Rice per kg: Rp14,950 (unchanged)
13. Fresh Broiler Chicken per kg: Rp42,550 (down 0.47%)
