Food Prices Today, January 14, in Central Java: Oil and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Essential Food Price Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (January 14, 2026) at 4:16 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 increased and 7 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were bulk granulated sugar, Honan garlic, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, large red chili, broiler eggs, Minyakita cooking oil, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk granulated sugar saw the highest increase of Rp102 (0.61%) to Rp16,833 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp958 (3.09%) to Rp30,000 per kg.

4. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp34,148 per kg (down 2.07%)
5. Honan Garlic: Rp32,778 per kg (up 0.17%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (down 3.09%)
7. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,361 per kg (down 0.49%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp27,222 per kg (down 1.54%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,074 per liter (up 0.26%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,717 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,833 per kg (up 0.61%)
12. Minyakita Cooking Oil: Rp16,644 per liter (down 1.06%)
