According to a survey by the Indonesian Public Opinion Discussion and Study Group (KedaiKOPI), many Indonesians desire changes in economic policies.

Of the 1,200 people surveyed, 61.3% want changes to the current policies of Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s administration, while 38.7% want to continue with the existing policies.

Among those who want changes, the majority (40.7%) desire changes in economic policies for more equitable distribution, and 28% want changes related to job creation.

Furthermore, 23.2% want policy changes to lower the prices of basic commodities.

Other respondents also desired changes in social assistance, education, poverty alleviation, public welfare, law enforcement, fuel price reductions, healthcare, infrastructure, wages, and corruption eradication.

However, the proportion of respondents wanting changes in these areas was smaller, as shown in the graph above.

KedaiKOPI conducted this survey from May 29 to June 7, 2023, involving 1,200 respondents aged 17-65 years spread across 38 Indonesian provinces. 50.5% were male, and 49.5% were female.

The majority of respondents were from urban areas (53.3%) with a high school education level, and a middle socio-economic status (SES) (75.8%).

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews (home visits) with a margin of error of ±2.83% and a 95% confidence level.
