Sumatra Barat Food Prices on Monday (January 13th): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (13/1/2025) at 08.44 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), SPHP rice, broiler chicken, premium rice, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, mackerel fish, fine iodized salt, garlic cloves, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp10,160 (17.57%) to Rp68,000 per kg. Mackerel fish prices decreased the most, by Rp6,350 (11.82%) to Rp47,390 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken: Rp40,250 per kg (up 12.9%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp37,220 per kg (up 0.98%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp31,150 per kg (up 4.15%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,850 per liter (up 3.39%)
