Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Food prices in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (14/5/2024) at 15.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, pure beef, chicken eggs, shallots, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,290 (2.77%) to Rp47,780 per kg. Mackerel experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp5,660 (15.54%) to Rp30,770 per kg.
