Food Prices in South Sumatra Today: Red Chili Prices Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (October 22, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, consumption salt, Minyakita cooking oil, large red chilies, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, shallots, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest increase of Rp899 (1.85%) to Rp49,380 per kg. Meanwhile, bird's eye chilies experienced the deepest decrease of Rp1,174 (3.08%) to Rp36,985 per kg.
