Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, July 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 82,780 per kg, as of Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 86,550 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 166,950 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 54,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in South Kalimantan, the price of chili peppers was sold at Rp 130,400 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in Papua was Rp 120,750 per kg, North Maluku Rp 118,700 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 115,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are East Java, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
