Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Salt and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (21/9/2024) at 09:58 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, red chili peppers, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn increased the most, by Rp980 (17.82%) to Rp6,480 per kg. The price of red chili peppers decreased the most, by Rp6,920 (12.92%) to Rp46,650 per kg.
