Latest Food Prices in Banten: Red Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) at 1:17 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increasing prices include packaged cooking oil, curly red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), consumption salt, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, Minyakita, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity recorded the highest increase of Rp564 (1.51%) to Rp37,955 per kg. As for red onion prices, they experienced the sharpest decline of Rp984 (2.22%) to Rp43,364 per kg.
