East Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 08.05 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, pure beef, skipjack tuna, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, broiler chicken, farmer-level corn, bulk cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,240 (3.26%) to Rp39,230 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp600 (7.95%) to Rp6,950 per kg.

9. Red Onion: Rp27,640 per kg (down 5.28%)
