Daily Prices of Red Chili Peppers in Modern Markets Across West Java Province Increased by 52.07% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in West Java Province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Regarding the price over the last month, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp74,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in West Java over the last three months has increased by 33.59% from the previous trading price of Rp85,150 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of red chilies in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 188.08%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in October 2023 with a decrease of -30.66%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Java show nine commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Grade 2 Beef, Chicken Eggs, Red Onions, Medium-Sized Red Onions, and Garlic.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Java Province:

1. Rice per kg: Rp14,500 per kg (up 1.05%)
2. Green Chilies per kg: Rp100,900 per kg (up 51.84%)
3. Red Chilies per kg: Rp113,750 per kg (up 52.07%)
4. Bird's Eye Chilies per kg: Rp107,350 per kg (up 41.9%)
5. Low-Quality Rice I per kg: Rp13,250 per kg (up 0.38%)
6. Curly Red Chilies per kg: Rp95,500 per kg (up 45.58%)
7. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,450 per kg (up 1.66%)
8. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp22,750 per kg (up 4.12%)
9. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp22,100 per kg (up 8.87%)
10. Chicken Meat per kg: Rp42,550 per kg (down 1.5%)
11. Large Red Chilies per kg: Rp89,400 per kg (up 23.65%)
12. Super Quality Rice II per kg: Rp14,950 per kg (unchanged)
