Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (30/12/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, farmer-level corn, red chilies, shallots, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp990 (2.06%) to Rp49,150 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil decreased the most, by Rp180 (1.02%) to Rp17,420 per liter.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on December 30, 2024, at 10:51 WIB.

7. Broiler Chicken: Rp37,590 per kg (down 0.48%)
8. Milkfish: Rp33,610 per kg (down 0.5%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,240 per kg (down 0.65%)
