Latest East Java Food Prices: Salt Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (12/9/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, bulk cooking oil, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp420 (4.55%) to Rp9,660 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease, down by Rp1,660 (4.95%) to Rp31,850 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on September 12, 2024, at 11:25 WIB.

6. Milkfish: Rp31,800 per kg (down 2.6%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,870 per kg (down 0.86%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,310 per kg (up 0.88%)
9. Curly Red Chili: Rp21,890 per kg (down 0.5%)
10. Red Onion: Rp21,880 per kg (up 0.51%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,860 per liter (up 0.36%)
