Latest Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Chili and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (5/5/2024) at 13:29 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, chicken eggs, red chilies, red curly chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,460 (5.5%) to Rp47,180 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,950 (5.2%) to Rp35,520 per kg.
