Latest Indonesian Regional Food Prices: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 15:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium-grain rice, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, premium rice, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp440 (1.33%) to Rp33,400 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp50 (0.88%) to Rp5,600 per kg.
