Jakarta Food Prices Friday (May 24th): Onion and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (24/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chili peppers, iodized fine salt, red onions, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most, by Rp1,190 (3.1%) to Rp39,630 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, by Rp6,600 (12.59%) to Rp45,840 per kg.

7. Chicken Meat: Rp37,810 per kg (up 0.45%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,460 per kg (up 1.08%)
9. Mackerel: Rp34,570 per kg (up 1.59%)
