Some time ago, a Lampung resident named Bima Yudha Saputro uploaded a video titled *Reasons Why Lampung Isn't Progressing* via his TikTok account @awbimaxreborn.
In the video, Bima criticized the poor condition of roads in Lampung and a number of stalled infrastructure projects. His video went viral and became a national issue.
As a result of this criticism, Bima was reported to the police. Even his family in East Lampung was visited by the police.
To provide a picture of the condition of Lampung, here is data on the economic growth of Lampung Province.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Lampung economy, measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant 2010 prices, grew by 4.28 percent in 2022.
This growth was lower than the national economic growth rate, as shown in the graph.
