Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Prices of Onions, Rice, and Chicken Meat Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, have been observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (22/8/2024) at 10:53 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, granulated sugar, medium-grain rice, Indian mackerel, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, red chili peppers, shallots, chicken eggs, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,190 (3.62%) to Rp34,060 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp1,790 (4.23%) to Rp40,510 per kg.
