Food Prices Today (23/1) in East Java: Cayenne Pepper Up, Oil Down

The prices of several food items in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (January 23, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler chicken meat, red cayenne pepper, broiler chicken eggs, curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red onion, Honan garlic, bulk palm cooking oil, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper jumped the highest by Rp1,106 (2.88%) to Rp39,485 per kg. Minyakita prices fell the sharpest by Rp100 (0.6%) to Rp16,636 per liter.
