Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (20/12/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, pure beef, medium rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), mackerel, milkfish, farmer-level corn, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp4,510 (9.75%) to Rp50,780 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply by Rp1,050 (9.46%) to Rp10,050 per kg.
