Today's West Sumatra Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (29/12/2024) at 08.04 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), mackerel, corn (farmer level), skipjack tuna, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp8,350 (22.28%) to Rp45,830 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour experienced the sharpest price decrease, down by Rp920 (9.78%) to Rp8,490 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on December 29, 2024, at 08.04 WIB.

2. Mackerel: Rp54,770 per kg (up 13.89%)
3. Skipjack Tuna: Rp45,830 per kg (up 22.28%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp43,590 per kg (down 9.09%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,700 per kg (up 6.76%)
6. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 2.1%)
7. Shallots: Rp32,860 per kg (down 0.76%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,480 per kg (down 6.25%)
9. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple Packaging): Rp18,490 per liter (up 0.54%)
10. Consumption Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 0.5%)
11. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,970 per liter (down 0.29%)
12. Premium Rice: Rp16,690 per kg (down 4.14%)
