Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices (Friday, May 24th): Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (24/5/2024) at 14.34 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dried soybean (import), milkfish, shallot bulb, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, premium rice, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallot bulb experienced the highest price increase of Rp270 (0.71%) to Rp38,100 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,670 (5.28%) to Rp29,970 per kg.
