Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg, Rice, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (3/8/2024) at 13:43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, medium rice, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, skipjack tuna, red chilies, red onions, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat prices surged the highest by Rp330 (1.09%) to Rp30,590 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the most by Rp750 (1.11%) to Rp67,010 per kg.
