Food Prices in Banten, Friday (31/5): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (31/5/2024) at 12.25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, medium rice, granulated sugar, livestock-grade corn, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, broiler chicken, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp530 (8.28%) to Rp6,930 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp280 (2.17%) to Rp12,640 per kg.
