Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (21/5/2024) at 13.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, red chilies, skipjack tuna, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Simple packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp110 (0.65%) to Rp17,080 per liter. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp600 (5.24%) to Rp10,850 per kg.
