Rupiah Exchange Rate Closes at Rp 14,494 per US dollar (Monday, July 26)

The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) traded at Rp 14,494 per US dollar, strengthening by -0.05 percent compared to yesterday. The current condition is almost unchanged from four days ago. After reaching its highest point on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, the Rupiah against the US dollar is now continuing its strengthening trend. Today, the Rupiah strengthened by Rp 7 compared to yesterday.

Over the past week, the Rupiah traded within a range of Rp 60 per US dollar. The highest transaction was at Rp 14,554 per US dollar, and the lowest at Rp 14,494 per US dollar.

Over the past month, the Rupiah traded within a wider range of Rp 143 per US dollar, with the lowest value at Rp 14,421 per US dollar.

Meanwhile, against other major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the Rupiah weakened most significantly against the Offshore Chinese Yuan over the past week, followed by the Onshore Yuan, Philippine Peso, Saudi Riyal, and US dollar.

Over the past month, the Rupiah's performance was most negatively impacted against the Papua New Guinean Kina, followed by the US dollar, Saudi Riyal, Kuwaiti Dinar, and Hong Kong dollar.
