Current Food Prices in Bali: Rice, Chicken, and Beef Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (14/6/2024) at 10:45 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, shallots, pure beef, Indian mackerel, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, fine iodized salt, red chili peppers, and dry soybean seeds (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,120 (6.6%) to Rp34,240 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, dropping Rp1,780 (3.94%) to Rp43,400 per kg.

6. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,780 per kg (up 0.82%)
7. Shallots: Rp34,240 per kg (up 6.6%)
8. Red Chili Peppers: Rp33,240 per kg (down 2.61%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,420 per kg (up 3.31%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,600 per kg (up 0.04%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,770 per liter (down 0.39%)
