Current Food Prices in Banten Region: Onion and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (31/12/2024) at 12:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel fish, shallots, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp960 (9.44%) to Rp11,130 per kg. Mackerel fish experienced the largest price drop of Rp2,050 (5.31%) to Rp36,580 per kg.
