Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 12.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, medium rice, curly red chilies, shallots, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, bulk cooking oil, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

SPHP rice prices surged the highest by Rp450 (3.64%) to Rp12,820 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most by Rp770 (16.85%) to Rp3,800 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,060 per kg (up 0.24%)
7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp33,780 per kg (up 3.05%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,110 per kg (up 0.27%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,230 per kg (up 1.16%)
