Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onions Up, Cooking Oil Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (13/5/2024) at 15.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, milkfish, fine iodized salt, dry soybean (import), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic cloves experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,000 (2.64%) to Rp38,810 per kg. Farmer-level corn had the lowest price decrease of Rp60 (1.15%) to Rp5,150 per kg.
