Banten Region Food Prices Thursday (17/10): Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (17/10/2024) at 12.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, garlic bulbs, medium rice, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, curly red chilies, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic bulbs saw the highest price increase, up by Rp1,130 (2.99%) to Rp38,970 per kg. Milkfish had the largest price decrease, down Rp2,090 (6.4%) to Rp30,550 per kg.
