Jakarta's Current Food Prices: Egg, Rice, and Oil Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (17/10/2024) at 08.55 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, iodized fine salt, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Simple packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp1,520 (8.23%) to Rp20,000 per liter. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the largest price drop of Rp3,930 (13.58%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on October 17, 2024, at 08.55 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp130,000 per kg (down 5.41%)
2. Red Chilies: Rp50,000 per kg (up 1.42%)
3. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 4.37%)
4. Milkfish: Rp40,000 per kg (unchanged)
5. Chicken Meat: Rp36,000 per kg (down 0.3%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 4.35%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,000 per kg (up 4.92%)
8. Red Onion: Rp30,000 per kg (down 8.45%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 4.69%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp25,000 per kg (down 13.58%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (up 8.23%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (down 3.12%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 4.36%)
