Indonesia's Saturday (August 10th) Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (10/8/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chili peppers, broiler chicken meat, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp140 (0.31%) to Rp45,680 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp490 (1.57%) to Rp30,680 per kg.
